FAQs

Why should I check to see if my pilot is FAA certified?

There is a lot of legal tape surrounding drone operation and footage capture. Remote pilots are required to obtain a Part 107 certification in order to fly commercially. By checking if your pilot has the correct certification, you can rest assured that the footage that you receive was captured safely and legally.

What equipment do you use?

I use a DJI Mavic Pro to capture my aerial footage.

What is airspace classification and how does it work?

Basically, airspace classifications tell you how much air traffic pass through a given altitude. Some airspace is fine for drone pilots to operate in. However, there is also some airspace that pilots have to get special permission to fly in. The higher the air traffic volume, the harder it is to get permission to fly. If your subject is close to high traffic areas, such as an airport, it may take up to 90 days to receive permission to fly above your property.
